Los Angeles, CA - On Tuesday, February 18, Metin Bereketli, a well-known Los Angeles artist known for his striking DIVERSITY-series of original paintings, donated signed reproductions of his work to the Blind Childrens Center (BCC) in the hope that the art will raise money for the Center's programs and services.

An internationally acclaimed Los Angeles based painter, Metin's contemporary works have been featured in galleries and exhibitions worldwide including the Smithsonian, Sotheby's Science Center, Paramount Pictures & Universal Studios and Hollywood & Highland. His style and generosity has earned him the esteem of many American leaders, such as Presidents Bush and Carter. His work can also be seen on many television programs including Friends, Frazier, ER, Becker, Felicity, Will & Grace, Chicago Hope, The Bold and The Beautiful, Passions, General Hospital, Party of Five, and several other TV and film sets.

The brightly-colored contemporary pieces will be added to the Center's Silent & Live Auction to be held on May 5th at the prestigious Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. The Auction is part of the BCC's annual fund raising event entitled, "The Tom Sullivan Blind Childrens Center Celebrity Golf Classic.”

The Blind Childrens Center is a non-profit family-centered agency which serves children with visual impairments from birth to school age. The programs and services help the children acquire skills and build their independence. It is the only agency in the greater Los Angeles area that provides an extensive range of services to children who are blind or visually impaired and their entire family.

For information on how to participate in the Golf Classic or Auction please contact the Center at 323-664-2153 or visit their web site http://www.blindchildrenscenter.org/
