Los Angeles, CA, July 1, 2003 - Hollywood's Healing Painter Metin Bereketli, Hollywood’s charitable international artist and the creator of one-of-a-kind “Healing Art” therapeutic art program, has participated in the special birthday tribute in honor of the Holywood Legend and Honorary Mayor Johnny Grant on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The event in the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland in May 10th was a terrific success with over 1,000 guests in attendance.
Phyllis Caskey, the President of the Hollywood Entertainment Museum, and Scherr Lillico, the Event Coordinator, thanked Metin for his "support of the event and the Museum and we thank you for your generous contribution of your "God Bless America" painting to our auction. We look forward to seeing you at our next event and in the Museum in the near future."
Metin said he was proud to support the efforts of the Hollywood Entertainment Museum to honor such legendary Hollywood figures as Mr. Johnny Grant.
The silent auction which Metin has supported with his art raised much needed funds for the HEM and their programs to preserve and exhibit Hollywood's treasures while at the same time educating and training at-risk youth for future employment in the Hollywood entertainment industry.
